HOUSTON (Jan. 29, 2024) — Northmarq’s Houston Debt and Equity office has announced the promotion of Taylor Phillips to vice president. Phillips is responsible for fulfilling client capital needs by facilitating the origination, underwriting, marketing and closing of debt and equity financing for commercial real estate through Northmarq’s life insurance correspondents, regional and national banks, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, Wall Street conduits, debt funds, credit unions and all other prominent capital sources.
Phillips works alongside Warren Hitchcock, managing director. Additionally, Phillips collaborates with the greater Northmarq Houston Debt and Equity office, and works closely with the Houston Investment Sales team. Phillips also collaborates amongst Northmarq’s 38 offices across the country.
“Taylor has been an integral part of our team’s success the past few years and has established himself as a rising star within the company,” Hitchcock said. “His work ethic and passion for creative problem solving will continue to serve clients well.”
Phillips joined Northmarq in 2020 and has since contributed to closing more than 50 financing assignments, amounting to over $600 million in originated capital. His expertise lies in sourcing accretive debt and equity for clients, showcasing a proven track record in structuring and capitalizing on complex financing transactions across various property types, including industrial, multifamily, retail, office, medical and other major sectors.

Phillips was born and raised in Houston and is a graduate of Texas Christian University where he attained a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
