Barry Gersten

Barry Gersten joined Northmarq in 2024 as managing director, director of capital markets, based in New York City. In this role, he leads the company’s proprietary fixed rate bridge loan program focused on the financing and refinancing of all multifamily and commercial assets and portfolios across the U.S.

Prior to joining Northmarq, Barry spent three years as managing director at Regions Bank, where he led the bank’s CMBS loan program. Before that, he co-founded Bedrock Capital Associates, and he held several senior management positions with Capmark (GMAC Commercial Mortgage) and Lehman Brothers.

Barry earned his Bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and his Master of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
